Luke hails from old farming family stock in Cornwall, growing up on his Grandparents land from which flowers and vegetables were sent to Covent Garden. From surfing to teaching himself banjo to more recent exploits in welding Luke continues to explore life’s riches whilst working in his day job as an Ecologist and taking night shifts as a Dad.
Brek’s background lacks farming detail, however, she has a wealth of experience in lots of other areas including editing 52 National Geographic documentaries, introducing Shakespeare to Malawi, protesting to the Pope on the lack of equality of women and the perhaps more relevant gardening for the gentry of Oxfordshire.
Brek and Luke fell in love in an evening, with Luke insisting he wanted children and to never live in the city. They have never lived anywhere else together but Fawler. After 14 years, regularly keeping chickens, eventually buying the house and transforming the field of a garden into landscaped vegetable and flower beds they have decided, together with Morty and Merry to go bigger and explore the land and opportunities around them.
